BLEU

Exhibition – December 18 th to 22nd 2024

Galerie OIA returns to the Marais and sets up shop for a few days at the Oxone space, at 8 rue Chapon (75003 Paris)!

For this new selection, Galerie Oia called upon ten artists from five countries in Southeast Asia: established and emerging artists from Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan and Japan, who shared for this project their relationship with blue, the feelings and emotions that the color blue evokes in them.

Indigo, navy blue and ultramarine, sky blue, celadon, turquoise, cyan, cobalt… The color of the sea, the sky and the night, nuances, perceptions, meanings that vary throughout the world.

In the West, blue often evokes tranquility, fidelity, faith or even melancholy.

In Asia, it is a mirror of the soul, a symbol of wisdom, serenity, spirituality, but also the color of youth or immortality…

Through the works and the perspectives of these artists, the exhibition “Bleu” explores these multiple nuances.
