Acrylic on canvas
Through the representations of his naked body, Heng Ravuth speaks with sincerity, revealing a double vulnerability: towards external glances but also towards his deep emotions.
Each of his self-portraits are covered with motifs revealing a succession of emotions – or a succession of fantasies – and denouncing the power of the image in a world where appearance plays a significant role.
A large scarf with lush plant motifs wrapping his shoulders and cascading down his body, adds a dimension of sensuality and mystery to the scene while suggesting a certain vulnerability.
