NOU SARY

Cambodian artist, French-speaking and Francophile, Nou Sary is an experienced painter and sculptor.

A graduate of the Royal University of Fine Arts in Cambodia and the Saint-Etienne Higher School of Art and Design, he masters different media, from painting to sculpture, from engraving to photography.

His work is part of the Buddhist conception of the Universe, that of a wheel of time perpetually turning on itself. Thus with his series “Harvest” (the harvest) Nou Sary explores the cycle of life and the relationship of Cambodians to their land through the celebration of ancestral traditions, transmission of ancient gestures, and this inseparable relationship between men and nature : In a joyful and warm palette of colors, everything mixes, everything is linked, men and women merge with nature in the same energy, the same vibration.
