VAN CHHOVORN

Van Chhovorn is a Cambodian painter and sculptor born in the Site II refugee camp in Thailand in 1982.

Sold as a slave on a fishing vessel in the Gulf of Thailand for more than two years, he was finally freed and was able to study with the Phare Ponleu Selpak association where he became a painter and sculptor.

His works are most of the time inspired during a recurring dream during which a “Dream Teacher” tells him what pattern to create and on what support.
