Acrylic on canvas
Through the representations of his naked body, Heng Ravuth speaks with sincerity, revealing a double vulnerability: towards external glances but also towards his deep emotions.
Each of his self-portraits is covered with motifs revealing a succession of emotions – or a succession of fantasies – and denouncing the power of the image in a world where appearance plays a significant role.
In this painting suggesting a moment of sensual intimacy, lying down and resting on one elbow, he plays with a large purple scarf with which he seems to hide his face from someone's gaze.
